This voluntary based project is on highlight and raise of volunteers’ role in our society. The project aims at increasing the number of SWV volunteers and integrating new volunteers in SWV Network. The project includes 3-day trainings in different regions of Armenia.
In 2010 the trainings were held in Shirak and Lori regions respectively in Artik and Vanadzor cities. 30 participants of the seminars were the most active participants of our previous trainings on “Gender equality” and “Women’s leadership”. During the trainings the participants got knowledge on volunteering, the role of volunteers in our society, what means doing volunteering, why people decide to become volunteers and what is the impact of their work in our society. The 3rd day of the trainings was dedicated to a voluntary work.
Besides, the new volunteers got prepared to an exhibition titles “Role of women in our society”.
The final stage of this project was held in Tekeyan center, Yerevan where the exhibition took place. We had more than 30 works of SWV Network members. Almost all volunteers who had presented their works to the exhibition came from the regions to take part in the event.
Currently the best works are situated in SWV office, V. Hambardzumyan 16, apt. 8a.
